Inkjet All-In-Ones

Freescale offers a wide range of controller solutions for Inkjet All-In-Ones (AIOs), advanced imaging systems that support print, copy, scan and fax.

At the center of Freescale’s SigmaTel controller architecture is a highly integrated DigiColor® controller SoC comprised of a dedicated hardware image processing core that produces photo quality prints and copies. Freescale’s SigmaTel Inkjet AIO SoCs provide all of the functions and interfaces needed to develop an advanced All-In-One printer.

These SoCs also support extended AIO features such as WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and a PictBridge camera interface. A 32-bit RISC CPU manages the internal hardware imaging blocks, user interface, and system I/O.

This approach enables customer products powered by Freescale SigmaTel technology to achieve high performance and a rich feature set while significantly lowering Bill of Material (BOM) costs. Our System-on-Chip (SoC) devices, embedded firmware, host software, and hardware reference designs can support a complete product line of AIOs.
